Hibs winger Alan O'Brien has been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for Wednesday's friendly game against Denmark.

O'Brien, 22, is a new signing at Hibs, after joining from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee (thought to have been £250,000). He signed a three-year-deal at Easter Road.

The speed merchant winger will be hoping to add to his four caps and impress Ireland manager Steven Staunton in the process.

Also included in the squad is former Hibernian goalkeeper Nick Colgan, now at Barnsley.

The full Ireland squad is as follows:

Colgan (Barnsley), Doyle (Birmingham), Henderson (Preston), Carr (Newcastle Utd), Dunne (Manchester City), Finnan (Liverpool), Kelly (Birmingham), McShane (Sunderland), O'Shea (Manchester Utd), Douglas (Leeds), Hunt (Reading), Ireland (Manchester City), Kilbane (Wigan), McGeady (Celtic), A O'Brien (Hibernian), Potter (Wolves), A Reid (Charlton), Doyle (Reading), Elliott (Wolves), Keane (Tottenham), Keogh (Wolves), Long (Reading), Murphy (Sunderland)
