Hibs winger Runar Hauge joins Dundalk on loan

Hibs winger Runar Hauge has today joined Irish side Dundalk on loan.

The 20-year-old has joined the SSE Airtricity League club until the end of the Irish season in Novermber.

Hauge joins fellow Hibee Steven Bradley in Dundalk, as they look to end the season with a possible league and cup double. They currrently sit second in the table 9 points behind Shamrock Rovers.

Dundalk are managed by former Falkirk player Stephen O'Donnell, and his assistant is former Hibs midfielder Patrick Cregg.

Hauge joined the Hibees last January for a reported six-figure fee from Norwegian side FK Bodo/Glimt and has floated between the first team and development side, he has played 3 games so far for the Hibees.

He will return to the Hibees development squad, that will play in the SPFL reserve league, as well as a scheduled run of matches against 8 English clubs, on his return from Dundalk.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

A good move for the kid.

He has shown in flashes he is a good player, and with Steven Bradley already flying with Dundalk it's a no-brainer.

Runar will then hopefully have more first-team football under his belt and be a better player when he returns to the development side in November.

Good luck Runar.
