It has been revealed this morning that Maltese officials will take charge of the Hibs v St Johnstone game this afternoon.

Portugese officials were due to take the game, but when their plane landed, and they heard the reasons for the Scottish refs strike, they done an about turn, and jumped straight back on a plane to Portugal.

The referee will be Chris Lautier and his assistants Philip Agius and Joseph Camilleri. Thier fourth official will be Scottish assistant ref Andy Tait.

Lautier and his team were due to take the Airdrie v Beith Scottish Cup Replay, but after a pitch inspection the game was called off, paving the way for them to take charge at Easter Road this afternoon.
