Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Celtic all join race to sign Hibs defender Josh Doig

Last updated : 27 January 2021 By Steve Forbes

According to numerous reports across news outlets, a number of heavy hitters have joineed the race to sign Hibs youngster Josh Doig.

Just days after Stoke City and Sunderland were linked, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Scottish minnows Celtic have been linked.

Sky Sports claim that the two London clubs, along with Celtic are watching the talented 18-year-old, after some impressive displays for the Hibees this season.

There also claims from apparent Man City supporters pages on twitter, that Pep Guardiola is also interested.

However, all reports seem to suggest the fee would be as little as £1m.

Doig has 2-and-a-half-years on his contract at Easter Road.

Some massive clubs (and Celtic) are now being linked with young Josh, but we can't see the Hibees accepting a bid of £1m.

It would need to be substantially more, and probably with a decent sell-on, before Hibs would even budge.

The last few days of the transfer window could be interesting.
