According to the Scottish Sun online, English Championship side Millwall have made an offer in excess of £1m for Hibs defender Ryan Porteous.
The London side were linked with the Scotland squad player earlier in the week, but they have now moved to beef up their interest.
Porteous is apparently on a shortlist of young talent drawn up by the Lions as they look to bring down the age of their squad.
21-year-old Porteous has come through the ranks of the club's academy, and is now a first pick in the centre of defence.
He has played in excess of 70 games for the Hibees.
It's a decent offer, but we can't see Hibs accepting the first offer.
The article doesn't say just how much in "excess" of £1m it is either, and knowing Hibs, they would look for a sell-on fee.
There is also the question of their only being a few days left of the transfer window, and wether there is enough time to sign a replacement.
Hibs are in a strong position with Ryan having 2 years left of his urrent deal at Easter Road.
