Celtic assistant manager, and former Hibs No.2 Mark Venus today ruled out a move for striker Steven Fletcher.
Venus appeared to rule out an approach for the in demand Hibs and Scotland striker by new Celtic gaffer Tony Mowbray, he said:
"He was okay, a decent player with potential,
"He has done well for Hibs and scored a lot of goals.
"But I don't know if Steven's future is here.
"I think he has signed a new contract with Hibernian 12 months ago so I would suggest his future is there at the moment."
Hibs are looking for in the region of £4m for the striker, who has plenty admirers.
Wigan Athletic, Newcastle United and Middlesbrough are said to be keeping tabs on the youngster.
22-year-old Fletcher has played 155 games for the Hibees and scored 47 goals.
He has been capped 4 times for Scotland and scored 1 goal, he has also been capped at U17, U19, U20 and U21 level.
Fletcher still has 4 years left on his contract at Easter Road.
