Pre-Season Result: Berwick Rangers 0-2 Hibs

Last updated : 11 July 2017 By Steve Forbes

A youthful looking Hibs side grabbed themselves a pre-season win away at Berwick Rangers tonight, running out 0-2 winners.

There was another start for trialist Jermaine Pennant, as he continues to try to impress Hibs boss Neil Lennon and land a contract.

Andrew Blake also appeared as a trialist, out to impress for a contract with the development side at Shielfiedl Park.

Hibs goals were scored by Danny Handling and Oli Shaw in the second half, although the win could have been bigger had Brian Graham not blazed a penalty over the bar in the first half.

Hibs Team:

Laidlaw, Blake (T), Porteous, Waugh, Pennant (T), Swanson, Martin, Graham, Crane, Shaw, F Murray.

Subs:

P.Martin, Mackie, Stirling, Handling, Stanton, I.Murray.

This was Hibs last friendly before the season kicks off next week against Montrose at Easter Road, in the first BetFred Cup Group D Match.
