Swansea linked with 5m move for Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet

Last updated : 30 August 2021 By Steve Forbes

Despite reporst earlier on today that Welsh side Swansea City had offered £5m for Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet, the Scotsman is reporting there has been no bid yet.

Earlier on today, PLZ Soccer announced that The English Championship side had tabled a £5m bid for the former Partick Thistle and Dunfermline striker.

However, the new reports claims no offer, as of yet, has been submitted.

Hibs knocked back an offer of £3m from Birmingham City in January, but so far, despite reported interest from the likes of Celtic, Spartak Moscow and Rubin Kazan, no summer bid has been recieved.

Nisbet has started this season how he ended the last, in fine form and in the Scotland squad.

Hibs might need to brace themselves for offers over the next few days as the transfer window comes to a close.

ED'S VIEW:

These last few days of the transfer window could be very interesting for the club.

If we recieve a big offer for Nisbet, the club will have to make a decision.

Do they reject it and keep the striker or cash in for big money.

The problem is, if we DO sell, it leaves very little time to find a replacement and get the deal over the line.

However, selling Nisbet and replacing him with a loan, freebe or nominal fee signing would be a disaster.

The club HAS to spend some cash should we sell, or the fans could turn.

Let's hope the club has a plan should Nisbet move on.
