Thierry Gathuessi told he can leave Hibs

Last updated : 18 December 2008 By Steve Forbes

Hibs full back Thierry Gathuessi has today been told he can leave Easter Road by boss Mixu Paatelainen.

The 26-year-old
Cameroon internationalist has struggled for form, since former boss John Collins signed from French side FC Sète 34 in July 2007 for a fee of around £30,000.

Gathuessi has only played 23 times for the Hibees in that time, scoring one goal, in a 3-2 win over Celtic at Easter Road last season.

Apparently Paul Hegarty is keen on taking the former
Montpellier and Cannes defender to first division side Livingston during the January transfer window, and Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen won't stand in his way.

Other players thought to be on their way out of the Hibees include Andy McNeil and Filipe Morais. Morais was charged with assault at
Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday and its thought it could be the final nail in the coffin for the Portuguese winger.
