According to reports this afternoon, Italian side Udinese have come back to the table for Hibs defender Ryan Porteous and are trying to push a deal through, after it emerged that English side Blackburn Rovers had tabled a bid.
A report in Italy suggests Udinese have come back in for Porteous, having previously had talks break down with the Hibees over a fee, after they sold Bryan Nuytinck to Sampdoria.
It comes off of the back of the Daily Record claiming today that Blackburn Rovers had made a "six figure" offer for the Scotland international, and this seems to have pushed the Serie A side into action.
The two clubs seem to be the front-runners for the 23-year-olds signature, but there is a string of clubs waiting to see what happens, with Italians Bolonga, KV Oostende of Belgium, French club Toulouse and the likes of Hull City, Stoke City and Millwall, as well as a number of German clubs keeping tabs.
Another option for Porteous is Watford, who are owned by the same family as Udinese, and it's thought he could sign for Bolonga then be sent straight to Watford on loan until the summer.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
It looks like Porto has plenty of options, once the Hibees start accepting offers for their want away defender.
Let's hope Hibs can get as much as possible to re-invest in the squad, and that me might see him in a Hibs jersey one last time.
