David Murphy Returns for Arbroath Scottish Cup Clash!

Last updated : 06 January 2006 By Steve Forbes

Hibs wing back, David Murphy is set for a shock return to the first team, for the visit of Arbroath, in the Scottish Cup this coming Saturday.

He has been missing for 6 weeks!!!

David injured himself against Dunfermline in the C.I.S cup in November, sustaining ankle ligament damage and has not played sine the loss at East End Park.

It was thought that the 21 year old, ex Middlesbrough Left back would be out for at least another two weeks, but with Hibs injury list ever increasing, Tony Mowbray is about to receive a huge boost ahead of this weekends match.

Hibs already have French midfield magician Boozy out for the rest of the season with cruciate ligament damage and Michael Stewart out with an ankle injury and Dean Shiels out with a back problem,

It's at last good news on the injury front for the Hi-Bees!

OR is it..............

Meanwhile, Gary O'Connor AND Kevin Thomson are struggling for this weekend as well, with both suffering chest infections.

This is our year, i tell ye! ;-)
