It has been revealed in some areas of today's press that English Premiership giants Everton have joined the race to sign in demand Hibs midfield dynamo Scott Brown.

Brown, 21, is wanted man and it seems certain that he will leave the Hi-Bees in the summer.

Everton manager David Moyes is a big admirer of the
Scotland international and it is though that Brown will be offered a £25,000 a week, 5-year-contract to sign for the Goodison side until 2012.

The player rated in the £5m bracket is also wanted by a string of clubs including
Bolton, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Anderlecht, Rangers, Celtic & Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow.

Although with wages of £25,000 a week meaning the overall package to secure Brown's signature could be as much as £10m, it's likely this will rule Rangers and Celtic out of the race for his signature.

What IS clear is that Brown WILL leave Hibs in the summer, but as yet his destination is unknown.
