Hibs Cup Final Pitch Invasion: No Case To Answer

It's been revealed today, that Hibs will face no action following May's pitch invasion at Hampden, after the club's historic victory against THE Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final.

An independent judicial panel has decided that the club has no case to answer, following the scenes at the end of the game.

Hibs have agreed to pay for the damage to the pitch, after some fans took 'souvenirs' home.

CEO Leeann Dempster said on the official club website:

“We hope that this now brings an end to the matter and the Scottish FA can concentrate on implementing the recommendations made by the Independent Commissioner, Sheriff Principal Bowen.”

The Hibs club has set-up a fund to help the club pay for the damage to the playing surface, as well as damage to goal posts, corner flags and seats.
