Hibs fail in loan bid for ex Hearts midfielder Toby Sibbick

Last updated : 03 August 2020 By Steve Forbes

Hibs have today failed in a bid to land Barnsley midfielder Tony Sibbick on a loan deal.

The 21-year-old is instead heading to Belgium on loan with Oostende.

The Hibees apparently equired about the availability of the former Hearts loanee, but the English side decided to send him abroad instead, as the Belgian side are owned by the Pacific Media Group, who also own the Tykes.

Sibbick only made two appearance for the Jambos last season before the Coronavirus hit.

He is likely to sign for Oostende before this coming weekend.

This one came from left-field.

We can't say we know anything about Sibbik, but it's clear Hibs boss Jack Ross is still in the market for more players.

It will be interesting to see if anymore moves are made.
