Hibs received a blow ahead of tonight's Scottish Cup 3rd Round clash with Aberdeen at Pittodrie, with the news that 19-year-old hitman Steven Fletcher has picked up an ankle injury in training and will miss the game.

The outstanding youngster went over on his ankle in training and now adds to Hibs missing list for tonight's game which includes injured Merouane Zemmama, suspended Kevin Thomson and the struggling Scott Brown.

Hibs boss John Collins said:

"Unfortunately, Fletch rolled his ankle a bit in training so he will definitely miss out but we are hoping that he will be back on Monday. We're disappointed to lose him, we obviously want to go up there with as strong a squad as possible, but these things are part and parcel of football and we will just have to get on with it.

"We will take another look at him probably on Friday because there is a bit of swelling on the ankle just now.

"Hopefully that will settle down over the next couple of days and he will be available again for the Kilmarnock game."
