Hibs received some terrible news this afternoon, when it was revealed that top goalscorer, with 15 goals, Chris Killen had picked up an Achilles injury and could be out for the rest of the season.
New Zealand international, Killen, was left in agony on the pitch as the full time whistle went and had treatment while the players headed back to the changing rooms.
Although it's not known the full extent of the injury, it's not looking good.
Hibs boss John Collins revealed:
"It's not looking great, in fact it's looking bad. We'll know the full extent of the injury later today after he has gone to hospital.
"I didn't see what actually happened, at first I thought he had taken some studs in the back of his knee but it seems much more serious."
"Chris came up with another great finish last night and, with 15 goals so far, he was looking good for 20 without a doubt. To lose him would be a massive blow for us."
This is a sucker blow for Hibs, what with the upcoming CIS Cup Semi Final against St Johnstone, the Scottish Cup 3rd Round replay against Aberdeen next Thursday and the fight for 2nd place in the league and the coveted Champions League spot.
