Hibernian FC will officially announce in minutes that 45 year old Colin Calderwood is to take over the reigns as manager at Easter Road.

Colin has left his possition as Newcastle United assistant to Chris Hughton to take the step up and be his own man in the hot seat at Hibs after being overlooked for John Hughes last time round.

Colins playing career span Mansfield Town, Swindon Town, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and local rivals Notts County.

Colin has been manger at Northampton town leading them to promotion from League Two and leading Nottingham Forest to the Championship
