It is thought that Hibs are on the verge of being granted planning permission, to start the building work on the planned £3m training facility near Tranent.

It is also thought that the plans for upto 10 full size pitches aswell as facilities will get the go ahead this coming Tuesday!!!

The plans include:

* 10 FULL size pitches
* 1 Indoor 5-a-side Synthetic Surface
* Fully Equipped Gym
* Changing Rooms
* Dining Area & Lounge
* Laundry Facilities

The facility is to be called "The East Mains Training Centre".

Hibs are planning to renovate existing buildings at the site, from milking sheds into an indoor synthetic surface and changing facilities.

The site will be open from
9am-5pm and will be secured with a 2 metre high green chain link fence.

It is also understood that Hibs will take players as young as 9 to use the centre.

Hibs legend Paul Kane was full of praise for the plans, he said:

It's a long-term plan which will include an indoor arena for training in winter.

"The players train at Cramond every day but anything could happen and they need a permanent area that will be there forevermore."
