Back in the green and white again - soon.
Hibs are to enter a team in the Scottish Masters Tournament to be held in the Braehead Arena on July 14.

It's the first time we've entered the contest, in which Hearts are currently holders, and it was Paul Kane who set about getting a team together.

Paul has managed to get together some modern day legends for Hibs, including John Hughes, Mickey Weir, Keith! Keith! Keith! Wright, and Gordon Rae to name but a few.

Kane told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I don't know why there hasn't been a Hibs team taking part but I've been keen to get one playing for the past couple of years. I've also managed to talk Jimmy O'Rourke into managing the team, while Willie Jamieson is on stand-by if need be."

Kano continued: "I'm still playing, as are Yogi and Keith, so by the time the tournament takes place we'll have been back training full-time. Eddie's been with Berwick Rangers, while Gordon Rae has kept himself in trim helping train young lads. Alan looks just the same as when he finished playing while Mitch, I understand, was playing Junior football up to last season and is still pretty much in shape."

While Paul was clearly chuffed to hook up with some former pals again, he obviously hasn't forgotten what playing for the cabbage means by adding: "The banter on the day should be good but it isn't just a kick-about, it is going to be serious stuff with Hearts and the Old Firm in opposition. All the old rivalries are going to be there with the winners going through to the British Masters."

Judging by the names that are on the sheet to play, every Hibee must fancy our chances to wrest the trophy from Tynecastle. But no matter what happens, it should be a great occaison, and Hibees-Mad will be there to give you all the news on our immense return to indoor soccer!
