Hibs to play German side Rot-Weiss Essen in European 50th Anniversary

HIBS will play German side Rot Weiss Essen to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hibernian becoming the first British team to play in a European competition.



The sides, who met in the first round of the inaugural European Cup in 1955, will play in Germany at the Georg-Melches Stadium in Essen on the evening of 22nd July and please note that fans of the terrace will be happy to hear that the Georg-Melches has 19,000 standing as well as 4,500 seats in the stadium.
