England manager Steve McLaren today urged Hibs to appoint Mark Proctor as the new manager to replace Tony Mowbray.

Mowbray recently left Hibs to become the new manager at
West Brom.

Mark Proctor has been in charge of team affairs since Mogga departed and done his chances of landing the job, no harm with a convincing 0-4 away win at Dunfermline on Monday night.

Proctor was in charge of the Boro youth team, under McLaren, and is responsible for producing such players at Boro as
England internationalist Stewart Downing.

He then moved on to be the assistant manager at
Darlington, before moving north to become Hibs first team coach under Tony Mowbray.

England manager Steve McLaren today said:

"Mark is an excellent coach who has vast experience in the game, and im sure he would be a great appointment for Hibernian.

"He did a great job as youth coach at Boro when the team won the FA Youth Cup two years ago.

"He played a crucial role in developing so many of the young stars who are now playing in the Premiership for Boro."

McLaren also stated:

"After becoming reserve team manager at Boro he left to further his career at
Darlington and then joined Hibs.

"With all of the experience he has gained as a coach and assistant manager, I know that he is now ready to take the next step in his career and become a manager."

Could Proctor be the new manager????
