West Brom REFUSED Permission To Speak To Hibs Boss Tony Mowbray!

WWW.HIBERNIAN-MAD.CO.UK understands that Hibs have REFUSED West Brom permission to speak to manager Tony Mowbray.

It is thought the Baggies told Hibs of the compensation package on offer and seeked permission to speak to Mogga, but Hibs have refused permission because the compensation offer is so low.

Hibs chairman Rod Petrie has told the championship side they will have to increase there offer before permission to speak is granted.

Chairman Rod Petrie is also fuming at the fact
West Brom made it known they wanted Mowbray to the press via the Baggies official website.

Petrie told the official club website www.hibernianfc.co.uk :

“As far as possible, it is business as usual at the Club in the run up to the first Edinburgh Derby of the Season on Sunday.

“West Bromwich Albion have made a very public enquiry about our Manager, Tony Mowbray. It is unprecedented that another club would name our Manager on their website. However, their website makes it clear that Tony is only one of a number of people they wish to interview.”

Rod added: “Based on my discussions with their Chairman, Jeremy Peace it appears that Hibernian's desire to retain Tony is stronger than
West Bromwich Albion's interest in adding a candidate to a selection process. That means we need to try and avoid the distractions and focus on the rest of our Season, starting Sunday.”
