Wigan Athletic To Bid £6m For Hibs Midfielders Brown & Thomson

According to some areas of this mornings press Wigan Athletic are ready to make a move for Hibs midfielders Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson in the January transfer window.

Wigan are understood to be ready to match Hibs valuation of £3m for each player, a fee that Rangers and Celtic would most likely not be willing to match.

Brown and Thomson have a number of admirers and it's though Wigan will be at the front of a very long queue in January, a queue that includes Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers, Celtic, Anderlecht, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic.


Former Hibs manager Tony Mowbray recently ruled West Brom out of the race after admitting the Baggies couldn't afford the players.

It looks like we could be witnessing Brown and Thomson's last games as Hibs players. :-(:-(
