The official Hibernian web site has been voted the best in Scotland by football fans around the country. In a poll conducted on behalf of Zoo magazine by the Football Fans Census (FFC), www.hibernianfc.co.uk was voted as the best Scottish club web site, with the overall UK award going to English non-league outfit AFC Wimbledon

The results of the census were published in the latest edition of Zoo magazine this week, the magazine saying:-

“We teamed up with the Football Fans’ Census, the leading independent forum for football fans, to create this ZOO survey – the most comprehensive of its kind ever conducted. 12,500 supporters took part, answering over 580,000 questions, and fans of 215 different clubs were represented, making the ZOO Football Fans’ Census a conclusive summary of the opinions of fans from all areas of football, from all round the country.”

Fans who took part in the Census were asked what club they follow, and the Football Fans’ Census statistics show that in Scotland fans that follow Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock take part in their surveys more than those of other Clubs, indicating that the Hibernian site is respected by fans throughout the Scottish game

(votes by fans for their own club in each section are disregarded in the Census results)

The Official Hibs site was named alongside those of Bristol City, Fulham, Lincoln City, Sunderland, and AFC Wimbledon as the best in their respective leagues, with the Wimbledon web site chosen as the overall UK winner.
