Hibs gained home advantage with Dunfermline laying the new carpet at their own ground and put it to good effect with a 2-0 win that somewhat flattered Dunfermline after a much one sided match even when Hibs were reduced to 10 men.

Throughout the whole match Dunfermline had around 2 chances on the Hibs goal which came to nothing but this was a match where Hibs dominated both the possession and attack by peppering Langfields goal at every opportunity.

Hibs should have gone into the break at least 4 goals to the good but difficult conditions sped the ball up and Konte, Fletch, Jinky and Thomo could not convert their chances.

Hibs sent in wave after wave of attack as they looked for the opener and just after the hour Konte scored from just outside the area to beat the keeper all ends up.

Hibs were reduced to 10 men when Noble was sent off for a 2nd yellow in what looked like a poor decision from the ref. Thomson wrapped the game up when he drilled the ball from 35 yards past the keeper to give us all 3 points.

Thomo lasted the full 90 and is looking good for the weekend.
