Belfast Hibbys honour Turnbull

Only £5.00 a ticket

Hibs fans in Northern Ireland have issued an invite for supporters
everywhere to enjoy a Tribute to Eddie Turnbull event to be held in the
city in March.

Northern Ireland Hibs Supporters' Club - or nihibs.com - will hold the
informal function in Belfast on Friday March 11th, when they will be
honoured to welcome Mr Turnbull as guest of honour, and fellow supporters,
to their city.

The event will include a few words from guest of honour Mr Turnbull as
well as a big Hibs raffle in aid of the Hibernian Former Players''
Association. Donations of raffle prizes are welcome.

The ticket price of £5 includes a great band and a DJ. The venue is the
Lower Falls Social and Rec. Club. Tickets are now on sale and are
available by emailing hibbyni@yahoo.com. Travel to Belfast is very cheap
and a range of flights, coaches and ferries are available, all supporters
are welcome to contact the same email address for advice.

Northern Ireland Hibs was officially founded in May 2001with the aim of
bringing Hibbys in Northern Ireland together for travelling to games,
watching TV matches and social events.

With an expanding membership and plans for a regular travel scheme, the
club has thrived thanks to the support of other fans' groups and
appreciates all that help that has been given.

Spokesman Conor Johnston said: "We can't say how great an honour it is to
be able to honour Eddie, our great club and our fellow supporters in our
home city.

"However, we would appreciate a big turnout to applaud a true Hibs great
and raise as much as possible for the former players. Everyone can help by
speaking to their boss at work (or at home!) today and organising a day
off to enjoy the biggest Hibs night out until the cup final!".

Initial ticket sales have been good and the NI Hibs lads have been pleased
to see a great response from the West of Scotland HSC. The event has grown
from plans for a social event for the two supporters' clubs but now has
the added bonus of a welcome for fans from all over the globe."

Many thanks,

Yours in Hibs,

Conor Johnston
