Hibs striker Abdessalam Benjelloun could be the latest player to be heading for the exit door at Easter Road.

The 23-year-old Moroccan has struggled to nail down a first team place this season, due to injury and loss of form, and now his agent has hinted at a possible summer exit.

Benji has only scored 1 goal this season, after finding the net 14 times last season, in Hibs triumphant march to CIS Cup Glory at Hampden, he missed a big chunk of the season due to the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, and also picked up a number of hamstring injuries.

He only made 17 appearances this season and has become frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities at Easter Road.

Cult figure Benji has two years left on his current contract but his agent, Clive Hart, has spoken of a possible summer exit, he said:

"I wouldn't be surprised if by September 1 this year, Benji wasn't at Hibs anymore.

"The bottom line is, this year hasn't happened for him and it's not inconceivable for all parties concerned it might be the best thing for him to move on.

"I've got great respect for Mixu, so has Benji, but managers look for different qualities in players.

"Nothing will happen without the full blessing of Mixu. It will have to be a deal that suits everyone in all respects."

If Benji goes, he would be the latest player to head for the Easter Road exit, Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has already disposed of Keegan Ayre, Dermot McCaffrey, Patrick Noubissie and Mickael Antoine-Curier.

Goalkeeper Yves Makaba Ma-Kalambay also looks set to join them, as we hear at Hibernian-Mad have heard that he has said his goodbyes to the Easter Road staff (see link below)
