ALL SPL games to go ahead

The SPL has today announced that this weekend’s fixtures are to go ahead as expected.

Scottish referees are to stage a strike this weekend, after criticism received in recent weeks, but it won’t affect this weekend’s action.

The Hibees face a crunch match against St Johnstone as they look to get themselves further up the table after a poor start to the season.

It’s been confirmed that Fifa listed or Category 1 referees from abroad will take charge of all the SPL games this weekend.

Only two games will go ahead in the Divisions 1, 2 and 3 this weekend.

The Alba Cup Final between Ross County and Queen of the South will go ahead, as will the 1st Division clash between Falkirk and Morton.

The Falkirk v Morton clash was chosen after lots were drawn.

All three Scottish Cup Replays will also go ahead.
