Bidding War starts for Hibs striker Kieron Bowie

It seems a bidding war has started over Hibs and Scotland striker Kieron Bowie.

According to a report from the Daily Record earlier today, Italian side Hellas Verona have tabled a bid of £5m + £1m in add-ons that has been rejected by the Hibees.

It now seems that the offer was in Euros instead of Pounds, meaning the offer was around £4.3m.

Bowie, 23, who joined the Hibees from Fulham in a £600,000 deal in the summer of 2024 has been linked with a number of clubs, including the ugly sisters along the M8, but this is the first time any concrete offer has been tabled for the player.

The transfer window is still open for another week, and Verona, who signed Josh Doig from Hibs in 2022 for a fee of £3.2m, are expected to come back with another offer.

However, a report from the Scottish Sun is now claiming THREE clubs from Italy have tabled offers for the former Raith Rovers youngster, but the identity of the other two has not been revealed.

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:

Hibs now have a decision to make.

We don't know the type of offers the other two bids are, if they are rejected, improved bids are probably likely.

Do Hibs cash in now and try and find a replacement before the window closes? or keep a potentially unhappy player, denied a life changing move, both professionally and financially.

Hibs apparently want £6.5m for Bowie, but could an offer over £5m plus significant add-ons swing it?

We wait and see........
