Celtic have once again been linked with a Hibs player and this time it's classy full back David Murphy.

Murphy, 23, is without doubt the best full back in the SPL and it now seems Celtic manager Gordon Strachan wants to add him to the growing list of ex Hibs players at
Celtic Park.

Chris Killen, Gary Caldwell, Derek Riordan and Scott Brown have all moved along the M8 to
Celtic Park and the Hibees support will be hoping Murphy doesn't follow them.

According to one of today's tabloids Celtic will offer a paltry £1m for a player they see as cover for Lee Naylor, a player who couldn't lace Murphy's boots, in the January transfer window.

Hibs finances are in the best state they have been for a number of years, with the Hibees pretty much debt free and £1m is surely not enough, especially as West Brom had been quoted £2.5m for the player in the summer.
