Celtic linked with Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet

Last updated : 16 January 2023 By Steve Forbes

According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic have rekindled their interest in Hibs hitman Kevin Nisbet.

The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Parkhead a year ago, before his cruciate tear, and it now seems his red-hot form since returning to the first team has turned their head again.

The former Raith and Dunfermline striker has hit 6 goals in 5 games since returning from injury and looks the player he was before injury.

Hibs turned down a £3m offer for the player from Birmingham City just before his injury, and their valuation of the Scotland interntional can only have gone up.

Celtic are set to lose Giorgos Giakoumakis this month and it looks like they have lost out on South Korean forward Cho Gue-Sung, so they will be in the market for another striker.

Nisbet still has 18 months left on his Hibs contract.

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:

DON'T DO IT HIBS!!!!

Remember Peter Lawwell's "Don't do Hibs any favours" stance over Scott Allan!!

Nisbet would be a massive loss to a side that has already lost talisman Martin Boyle to long-term injury.

Hibs shouldn't even acknowledge bids less than £5m for a striker that has 10 international caps and played a part in all three European Championship group games for Scotland.

Sell Nisbet, and we would be as well as just ending the season now.
