Hibs have stepped up their interest in Cowdenbeath keeper Jamie Sneddon.

The youngster was linked with a move to Easter Road in November, and Hibs boss Neil Lennon has moved to take the player on trial this week.

Sneddon, 19, is a former Hearts youth player, and it's understood that Hibs goalkeeping coach Alan Combe, who worked with the player at Tynecastle, alerted Neil Lennon to the players contract situation.

He is out-of-contract on December 31st, so the Hibees can sign him when the January transfer window opens.

Sneddon played 20 times for the Blue Brazil last season, but has lost his place to the more experienced David McGurn this term.

Livingston, Partick Thistle & St Johnstone are all, also, said to be interested in the teenager.
