The transfer of Scott Allan to Hibs and Scott Bain to Celtic has taken another twist.
Dundee have apparently approached Hibs about taking former Dundee Utd forward Simon Murray on loan until the end of the season.
Hibs want former midfielder Scott Allan at Easter Road, but he is on loan at Dundee from Celtic. Celtic want Hibs keeper Scott Bain, on loan from Dundee at Parkhead.
It now seems Dundee want to add Murray to the mix.
It would take Hibs agreeing to end Bain's loan deal at Easter Road, for Celtic to buy him from Dundee, Dundee agreeing to end Allan's loan at Dens to allow him to then move to Easter Road, and Hibs agreeing to allow Murray to move to Dens.
The spanner in the mix, is that Murray apparently has a number of options abroad, and could find them tempting enough to knock back a move to Dens.
The 25-year-old started the season in blistering form and has notched up 14 goals already this term.
However, he has found himself out the side following a form dip, and has been kicking his heels on the bench.
