It's been announced today that the Hibees stadium - Easter Road - will host a Scotland international friendly.

Scotland will face Australia in Edinburgh on Wednesday August 15th 2012, as a warm-up ahead of the World Cup qualifying double header against Slovenia on September 8th 2012, and Macedonia three days later.

This will be the 5th Scotland international to be held at the Holy Ground, having drew 1-1 with Finland in 1998, beat Canada 3-1 in 2002, Lost 4-1 to Sweden, also in 2002, and beat Trinidad & Tobago 4-1 in 2004.

Easter Road also hosted a pre 2006 World Cup friendly between South Korea and Ghana in June of that year, with Ghana winning 3-1.

It will be the first full international held at the ground since the East Stand was re-built last year, at a cost of £3.2m, taking the capacity to 20,421.
