Darlington boss Steve Staunton has completed the signing of a second former Hibee tonight, after landing Ross Chisholm.

Chisholm, 22, has joined the Quakers until the end of the season, and joins another former Hibs youth product, Patrick Deane at the Darlington Arena.

The midfielder was released by the Hibees last season, having played 47 times, in league and cup competitions, since breaking through the famous Easter Road Youth Academy.

Chisholm then signed for Irish club Shamrock Rovers, managed by another former Hibs player in Micheal O'Neill, playing 12 times for the League of Ireland side.

Staunton was delighted to land the former Scotland U21 international, he said:

"Ross has been training with us for a few weeks and he's a clever little ball player.

"He has a sweet left foot and can pick a pass with a killer ball, which is vital in League Two where it's difficult to break down defences. He'll be a useful addition to the squad between now and the end of the season."
