Hellas Verona table £6m bid for Hibs striker Kieron Bowie

Last Updated : 28-Jan-2026 by Steve Forbes

According to the Scottish Sun, Hibs hitman Kieron Bowie is on the verge of a big money move to Italy, after Hellas Verona returned to the table with an improved offer.

Verona have upped their £4.3m offer from yesterday to £6m, plus add-ons, for the in-demand Scotland striker, and according to the report, a deal could be done in the next 24 hours.

Hibs have been in talks with the Italians all day, and it now seems the deal could be on the verge of completion and a life changing move for the Scotland international imminent.

A number of clubs have been linked with the former Raith Rovers kid, including Rangers and Celtic, and apparently two other unnamed Italian clubs have also put in offers.

Hibs signed Bowie from Fulham for £600,000 18 months ago, he has played 52 times and scored 13 goals in the green and white.

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW

That's a much improved offer, and one we can't see the club turning down.

It would be life changing for Kieron, and would also add to the growing Scottish contingent in the Italian league.

It would leave Hibs with a massive gap to fill before the transfer window closes later this week, and not much time to do anything about it.

Could this bid also tempt the other Italian sides to enter the race again, knowing that £6m seems to be the magic number?

We will soon know....
