The votes are in, they have been counted and verified, and Hibernian-Mad are delighted to announce that our Young Player of the Year 2009/10 is Anthony Stokes. 21-year-old Stokes beat off stiff competition from the outstanding David Wotherspoon. Stokes becomes our fourth annual winner, after scoring 23 goals for the Hibees, since his £500,000 move from Sunderland last summer. The previous winners of our award, are as follows: 2006/07 - Lewis Stevenson 2007/08 - Steven Fletcher 2008/09 - Kurtis Byrne You voted in your hundreds, and this is how the voting finished up, with Stokes JUST sneaking it from young Wotherspoon.
Stokes almost become the first player to do the double, but came a close second in the Hibernian-Mad Player of the Year poll.
Well done Anthony.
Thanks to everyone who voted on our latest poll.
