Six players signed, with Tom McCready added to the U19 side.

Stack looks as if he could be the solid, reliable keeper we have been screaming out for over the last 4-5 years.

Cregg and McBride have both looked good signings in their four appearances so far, despite some early scepticism from the fans, McBride the kind of player who will put his foot on the ball and do the simple thing, with Cregg working as the ball winning terrier in there beside him.

Danny Galbraith looks a very exciting prospect indeed, and must have some considerable talent after learning his trade at Man Utd, and will probably be introduced slowly as the season wears on.

Anthony Stokes arrived in a wave of publicity, and is a quality signing for the Hibees, he will score goals, and could be the difference between finishing in a European spot. The fee for his signing has been reported between £350,000 - £500,000, whatever the price, a fantastic piece of business.

It’s also been good to get the two Moroccan’s, Zemmama and Benjelloun, back from their loan periods, another two real quality players returning to the squad, making new boss John Hughes’ job a lot easier.

Add to the mix exciting youngsters David Wotherspoon and David Byrne, and we are looking good.

Going out we have lost an incredible 19 players (Including the loan of young Ewan Moyes to Livi) since the end of the 2008/09 season, and some real quality in Szamotulski, Jones and Fletcher.

We have replaced Szamotulski and Fletcher, and the departure of Jones has been covered by big Sol Bamba dropping back to his preferred position of centre half.

Getting the other 15 off the wage bill however was a good move for the Hibees, as none of them proved to be good enough to wear the famous green and white shirt.
