Hibs have told trialist Luke Coulsen that he won't be offered a deal at Easter Road.
The young wing back has been training at East Mains in the last week or so and was involved in the Hibees last two pre-seasons friendly games against Berwick Rangers and Dunfermline.
The 20-year-old former Cardiff City defender has returned south after Hibs boss Alan Stubbs told him the bad news.
Coulsen tweeted:
"Scotland it's been a pleasure.
"Just want to thank everyone at Hibernian FC and wish them all the best for the season"
In other news, English side Northampton Town are using the Hibees East Mains Training Facility this week as part of their pre-season programme, before a friendly with Alloa on Saturday.
