Hibs accept 2.5m Millwall offer for Kevin Nisbet

According to the Daily Record, Hibs have accepted a £2.5m offer from Millwall for Kevin Nisbet.

The Hibees turned down the Lions first offer of £1m for the Scotland hitman, but they apparently returned today with an improved £2.3m plus add-ons offer.

It seems after some negotiating, Hibs have accepted a £2.5m deal, with add-ons and possibly a sell-on fee inserted.

The fee is apparently a club record fee for the London club.

Nisbet, 25, is expected to go through his medical in the next 48 hours, which will mean he will most likely miss Saturday's clash at Easter Road with Aberdeen.

The former Raith and Dunfermline striker has just come back from a near year long injury lay-off and has hit 7 goals in 7 games for the Hibees.

It looks like they will be his last.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

We don't know what Hibs are thinking here, it's season ending suicide from the Easter Road hierarchy.

Nisbet is said to have asked to go, and his attitude after we rejected a £2.8m bid from Birmingham City 2 years ago, shows we MIGHT be doing the right thing.

Unless the Hibees have a replacement in mind and can move quickly, we are left with Harry McKirdy and possibly yougsters Ethan Laidlaw and Josh O'Connor as striking options.

Myko is still out for several weeks, Bojang has gone, Melkersen is out on loan and Doidge is still on loan with Killie.

Add to that the long term injury to Martin Boyle and it's the perfect storm.

With Hibs also expected to lose Ryan Porteous, the next 5 or 6 days before the transfer window closes, are some of the most important in the club's recent history!!
