Hibs appoint John Doolan as 1st Team Coach

Hibs have officially announced that John Doolan is the clubs new 1st team coach.

Doolan has left English Championship side Wigan Athetic to become assistant to new Hibs boss Alan Stubbs.

Hibs had been expeceted to announce Andy Holden as 1st team coach, but Stubbs has moved for his fellow scouser instead.

Doolan has plenty experience having worked with both Liverpool and Everton from U18 to first team level.

Hibs boss Stubbs said:

“I’m thrilled to be able to bring John to Hibernian – he is a quality coach with an excellent pedigree.

“I’ve known him for a long time and I completely trust his judgement. He will be able to implement fresh ideas to improve our squad and his appointment is a real coup for Hibernian.”
