According to Football Insider, Hibs have had an offer for Burton Albion defender Deji Oshilaja rejected.
The report suggest that both Hibs and English side Gillingham have made offers and both have been thrown out.
Oshilaja, 29, only has six months left on his contract, meaning he could sign a pre-contract deal now, but that doesn't seem to be on the table here.
Hibs have been in the market for a couple of defender after Ryan Porteous joined Watford in a £500,000 deal this week and Rocky Bushiri is facing three months on the treatment table.
They did manage to secure the loan signing of CJ Egan-Riley on loan from Burnley this afternoon.
If the Hibees have bid for the former Charlton defender, will they go back in?
Oshilaja, started his career with Cardiff City, but was sent out on numerous loan spells, with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Newport County and no less than THREE loan spells with Gillingham.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
Another player we have no knowledge of.
He is an experienced defender and just what Hibs are looking for in their defence.
However, there has already been a few news outlets rubbishingthe report so there's a good chance it's just "paper talk".
