Hibs boss John Hughes keen to keep striker Colin Nish

Hibs boss John Hughes has tonight insisted that he wants to keep Colin Nish at Easter Road.

Championship strugglers Scunthorpe United have been linked with a £200,000 move for the former Kilmarnock hit man, but Hughes has revealed that he is keen to 6ft 3in striker at Easter Road.

Hughes stated his intention to keep Nish and said:

"I wouldn't want to be doing any kind of business on guys that are starting in my 11.

"I would like to think I could get another one or two players in before the window closes."

Nish, 28, has scored 12 goals in 48 games since signing from Kilmarnock is a £150,000 deal in January 2008.
