Benji: loaned out
Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today denied that striker Abdessalam Benjelloun's loan move is permanent.
The 23-year-old Moroccan international has moved on loan to Belgian side RSC Charleroi until January.
Benjelloun struggled with injury all through last season, and when he finally made his comeback could not shift the partnership of Colin Nish and Steven Fletcher.
The Belgian side had insisted, on their official club website, that they agreed a future transfer fee for Benji should he impress while on loan. The fee was thought to be £1.2m.
Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today ruled that possibility out and has insisted Benji will be back scoring goals for the Hibees come January.
He said:
"Hopefully, he will come back with a few goals under his belt and do that for us.
"I want our quality players to be on form and, hopefully, when Benji comes back, he will do it for us."
