Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today revealed that he has set injured Ian Murray a derby day comeback date.
Murray, 27, has been out since picking up the injury during the Hibees 2-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Hearts in January.
At first it was thought no surgery would be required for the groin injury, diagnosed as scar tissue from a previous groin surgery, and that Murray would be back sooner rather than later.
It wasn't to be for the former Rangers player and he had to admit defeat and go under the surgeons knife.
Paatelainen said:
"Ian is massively valuable to us, he's a quality player, full-hearted and experienced. He knows what he is doing and doesn't make mistakes."
