Hibs chase Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bryan Hodge

Last updated : 21 April 2009 By Steve Forbes

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today been linked with a summer move for Blackburn Rovers youngster Bryan Hodge.

The 21-year-old midfielder is thought to be high on the wanted list of Paatelainen, as he looks to strengthen the Hibs midfield in the up-coming transfer window.

Joe Keenan, Ross Chisholm are both thought to be on their way out of Easter Road this summer, and Denes Rosa is also only contracted until the end of the season.

Steven Thicot has also failed to hold down a regular first-team slot at Easter Road, and could also find himself heading for the exit.

Hodge is a Scotland U21 international, and has also represented his country at U17, U18, U19 and U20 level.

Blackburn would not be hard to deal with, as the player is out of favour and has only played one first team game.

Hodge has also spent time on loan with Mansfield Town, Millwall and Darlington.
