Hibs defender Jordon Forster has today signed a new deal with the club.

The 22-year-old has signed a 2-year-deal that keeps him tied to the club until the summer of 2018.

Forster spent the second half of last season out on loan with English League Two side Plymouth Argyle, after a number of injuries seen him lose his place in the side.

He played 13 games on loan with the Pilgrims, including the League Two Play-Off Final defeat to MK Dons at Wembley.

Forster now returns to Easter Road, and will challenge Paul Hanlon, Darren MacGregor & Liam Fontaine for a starting spot in the Hibees first team.

Speaking to the official club website, he said:

“It feels brilliant, obviously I was away for the second half of last season on loan down at Plymouth. Coming back and seeing the boys has been good.

“I’m just delighted to finally sign the two-year contract and work with the new manager and the new people he is bringing in. I’m looking forward to the new season which is going to be a big one.

“It’s going to be challenging, but it’s going to be exciting as well.”
