Doig, 18, has been nominated along with Lewis Ferguson (Aberdeen), Nathan Patterson (Rangers) and David Turnbull (Celtic).

The Hibees youngster has had an outstanding season, with the likes of Arsenal, Leicester City, Leeds United, Man City and Celtic having been credited with an interest in the player.

We might be biased, but a thoroughly deserved nomination, that must be in with a very good shout of winning.

Doig has been sensational this season.
