According to the Scotsman this evening, Hibs are weighing up a move for Swindon and Wales midfielder Jonny Williams.
The 29-year-old is out-of-contract this summer and can talk to clubs now about a pre-contract, however it seems Lee Johnson is keen to sign the player before the transfer window closes tommorow night.
Williams has a good pedigree, capped 33 times by Wales and was in their squad for the recent World Cup in Qatar but never managed to get any game time.
The Hibees have been crying out for a new creative presence in their midfield and Williams could fit the bill.
He has previously played for the likes of Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, Charlton Athletic and Cardiff City.
Williams has played 23 times for the League Two outfit this season, scoring 8 goals.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
Just the type of player we have been crying out for, for a long time.
He's a goal scoring, creative midfielder and gets about the pitch well.
He would bring plenty experience to a young Hibs squad if we can get this one over the line.
