Hibs have failed in their quest to re-sign forward Anthony Stokes on loan from Blackburn Rovers.
The legendary former Hibee is currently out-of-favour with the English Championship side, and according to several news reports, let Rovers know he was keen on a return to Easter Road.
Blackburn also signed two new forwards, pushing Stokes further down the pecking order at Ewood Park.
However, the two clubs apparently failed to agree on the percentage of the former Celtic players wages that Hibs would pay.
Hibs were still trying to sign the player heading in to the last hour of the transfer window, but a deal could not be struck.
